Alcohol and Drug Recov Ctrs Inc (ADRC) Residential Program/Intensive

The Intensive Residential program consists of 28 beds and involves 14 to 30 days of intensive residential treatment within a therapeutic community. Clients are accepted in the program regardless of their ability to pay. Goals

1. To provide clients with the basic education of substance abuse, the disease concept, recovery, and twelve step programs.
2. To assist clients in establishing a recovery program along with a commitment to ongoing recovery.
3. To encourage the development of healthy social relationships.
4. To assist clients in identifying high-risk situations and relapse triggers for the development of relapse prevention.

The Intensive Residential Program will give preference to treatment admission in the following order:

1. Pregnant injecting drug users.
2. Pregnant substance abusers.
3. Injecting drug abusers.
4. Substance abusers with HIV/AIDS or any other life-threatening disease.
5. All others meeting the eligibility criteria, including court referrals and clients with co-occurring disorders.
