Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center

Anuvia Prevention & Recovery Center is a nonprofit serving Charlotte and Mecklenburg County with alcohol and drug education, prevention, assessment and treatment services. The agency is more than 50 years old and has been known as The Chemical Dependency Center, The Randolph Clinic and the Charlotte Council on Alcoholism. Roughly 20,000 people are impacted by Anuvia's services each year, from children and teens to parents and educators to people with court-related problems and people who have an alcohol or drug dependency.

Substance abuse services include a wide array of evidence-based prevention and awareness programs designed for targeted populations, DWI and court services, programs for Spanish-speaking individuals, 20- and 40-hour outpatient treatment programs, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for adolescents and adults and a dual-diagnosis treatment program (SACOT). Assessments of drug and alcohol use are provided at multiple locations in the Charlotte area and are used to determine the appropriate level of care for people diagnosed with a substance use disorder.
