Phoenix Houses of New England Brattleboro/Rise Program
Phoenix House RISE (Recovery in an Independent, Sober Environment) in Bellows Falls is a 3- to 24-month sober living program for men in early recovery from substance abuse, with specialized programming for veterans. An integral part of a recovery-oriented system of care, RISE is based on the belief that people who experience a repeated pattern of drug or alcohol abuse should spend additional time in a stable, supportive environment to reinforce sobriety. Clients must be at least 21 years of age and have completed a residential or intensive outpatient treatment program within the past six months. All clients are expected to pay a modest weekly rent.
After completing a residential treatment program, women in recovery may live in Brattleboro for 3- to 24-months at Phoenix House RISE (Recovery in an Independent, Sober Environment), a transitional living environment. RISE residents live and work in a healing atmosphere where women help one another rebuild trust, dignity, and hope. The program, which provides case management, counseling, and group therapy, is open to those who need additional support while transitioning into the community. All clients are expected to pay a modest weekly rent.
