Department of Corrections DART Cherry Facility Criminal Justice Clients Men Only Residential Long-Term Residential Short-Term Substance Abuse Treatment

DART Cherry is a residential treatment facility responsible for the delivery of chemical dependency treatment services to probationers sent by the courts, and to parolees released from the division of prisons and transitioning back to the community. DART Cherry programs include a 28 day modified Minnesota Model of Substance Abuse Treatment, and two 90 day Therapeutic Community (TC) programs. (The Minnesota Model is a multi-disciplinary treatment approach with a 12 step recovery treatment at its core.) The 90 day therapeutic community  is a social skills, structured community hierarchy centered around cognitive behavioral interventions; it is based on the New York Department of Correction 's  "Stay 'N Out" TC model.

DAAC serves clients of all ages, ethnicities, class and background. The demographics of our clients reflect the demographics of the population in Sonoma County. We provide counseling services to more than 2,500 individuals and education, outreach and testing services to an additional 21,000 individuals in our community each year.

Currently, the Hospital provides a comprehensive array of acute care and outpatient services, including: clinical laboratory, radiology, surgery, cardiopulmonary, cardiac rehabilitation, physical, occupational and speech therapy, pulmonary testing services, EEG testing, lithotripsy and one of the few capsule endoscopy programs in the region. The Lockport site also operates a 20-bed alcohol and drug treatment unit.
