A 24-Hour Crisis Intervention Hotline is available to the residents of the region and works cooperatively with local law enforcement agencies and hospitals. A nine-member board governs the Center. Eight members are appointed by the County Commissioners and one is appointed by the Brownwood City Council.

We offer hope to individuals and families struggling with these life-impacting issues. Our continuum of care is provided in both Nassau County and Suffolk County through our comprehensive network of community-based programs and services.

Chabad views drug abuse as a symptom of a deeper problem. Our program uses a psychological-therapy and 12 step model that concentrates on the underlying issues contributing to dependence. We focus on establishing a structure that promotes recovery and improves the quality of life, placing special significance on ethical and moral growth that is so vital to the development of personal integrity. Accordingly, although the program is non-sectarian, it is based on the age old values of Jewish Torah, the source of Judeo-Christian values.

The intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group focused, non-residential program for substance abusing adults ages 18 and over. IOP is more intensive than traditional outpatient treatment services, offering 10+ hours of treatment per week. Treatment typically lasts six weeks, but varies with individual needs and participation.

CARE is a program member of the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association, Florida Association of DUI Programs, and is proud to be an associate agency of the United Way of Northwest Florida. CARE continues to be committed to establishing partnerships to enhance community services.
