Treatment Centers Using Buprenorphine in D.C

In the District Capital, there are many different drug problems that local authorities have to face and work to handle, and heroin is one of the bigger problems that plague inner-city streets and the people living within the area. There are many different treatment resources available throughout the state, and some of these treatment programs use the drug Buprenorphine as part of the treatment and detox method to help opiate addicts get clean off of the drugs they are using. These services can be provided in short-term and long-term treatment along with residential and out-patient services. Detox facilities can also use this drug to help a heroin addict get through the withdrawals and remain off of the drugs while they are going through drug rehab. Drug treatment can be effective, but it does take some willingness from the addict to want to get help and become clean off of drugs. Heroin is a very addictive drug, and most addicts are stuck on the drug over long periods of time and have not been able to create an opportunity to get the effective help they need.
