DUI Oklahoma Drug & Alcohol Rehab Treatment

The state of Oklahoma is famous for being called the ‘sooner’ state, and has the well recognized Route 66. The state of Oklahoma is set up where the DUI fines are defined in the counties you live in. This means, depending on the county you are in, the DUI fine will be different if you are charged and convicted. The fines can be small ones, and even go into the thousands of dollars. The jail terms can go as high as six months, of course this all depends on the county you are in and the blood alcohol content you have at the time of being charged.

The three different alcohol related charges you can receive in Oklahoma are: driving under the influence (DUI), actual physical control (APC), and driving while impaired (DWI). If your blood alcohol content is .05% or higher, you can be charged in the state of Oklahoma. The only difference between an actual physical control charge and a driving under the influence charge is the DUI requires actual operation of the vehicle. The ‘per-se’ law of Oklahoma is, if your blood alcohol content is that of .08%, you can be charged with a criminal offense. This percentage constitutes that of being impaired, and you can also be prosecuted while driving under the influence. This can only happen if you are proven to have been driving in an unsafe manner.

When you are facing your first charge and convicted in the state of Oklahoma, your license will be suspended for 30 days. The court will give you a minimum of ten days in jail with up to one year, and you will be fined $1000. This fine also includes other fees and penalties that you will have to pay. Your second charge and conviction in Oklahoma will get you one year in jail with up to five years, and you will be fined $2500. Your license will also be suspended for six months, and you will have to pay other administrative fees.

These laws apply tp people addicted to drugs or alcohol.

The third time you are charged and convicted in the state of Oklahoma, you will face jail time for one year with up to ten years. You will have to pay a fine of $10,000 and your license will be suspended for one year. You will have to pay other administrative fees and charges along will all of this. In Oklahoma, all drivers with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher will be charged and convicted. If a person under the age of 21 is caught and charged. They will also be convicted if their blood alcohol content is .02% or higher. Any body caught operating a commercial vehicle while driving under the influence will also be charged. If your blood alcohol content is .04% or higher at the time you are pulled over you will be convicted.
