It is the state's solution to help monitor the dispensing of these substances, so as to reduce its misuse and abuse.

A benzodiazepine is in a classification of drug known as tranquilizers, and are often prescribed to treat problems such as anxiety, insomnia, alcohol withdrawal, and muscle relaxation. Some of the common brand names prescribed within the United States include Xanax, Librium, Valium, Ativan, Niravam, and Alprazolam.
