Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Programs for DUI/DWI Offenders in Arizona

When someone has been convicted of a DUI or DWI, they will often have to enroll in some type of alcohol and drug safety action program in Arizona. This type of program does help reduce the number of impaired driving deaths and re-educates people about the dangers of impaired driving. For example, the offender will address the reasons why they want to drive while impaired and learn new ways how they can reduce these problems from happening. This program is about reducing the risk of committing these types of offenses again. On average within the state of Arizona, around 230 people die annually because of impaired driving, and around 1.7% of the population report they will drive after drinking too much. Preventing impaired driving will save lives, and programs such as an alcohol and drug safety action program help reduce the number of impaired driving deaths.
