Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Programs for DUI/DWI Offenders in Massachusetts

Alcohol and drug safety action programs are often state-wide, and when you are charged and convicted with a DUI offense in Massachusetts, you may have to complete one of these programs. During the sentencing, the judge may order you to enroll in and complete an alcohol and drug safety action program by a certain date. This is an important program because it does help reduce the number of deaths and injuries associated with impaired driving. Many impaired drivers are repeat offenders and will often end up in a drug treatment program or go to jail. Alcohol and drug safety programs, if done early enough, can help with education, prevention, and counseling for the offender. There are reasons why someone would choose to drive while impaired, and these can be addressed with the right help. Within the state of Massachusetts, roughly 119 people die annually because of impaired driving. Alcohol and drug safety action programs are proven to work.
