Long-term residential offers an addict the highest level of care when it comes to drug treatment. These programs can last up to one year in length however the average length is three to six months long. Each form of treatment can also vary in treatment modality, but each program shares the common goal of helping those who are drug dependent, overcome their addiction, and leave drugs in the past.
