GET A CALL BACK

Bland County has been struggling importantly with the issues that come with alcohol and drug abuse. The amount of damage it has caused in the community only further proves the presence of this problem. The first issue we will be looking at is excessive drinking, it was reported by 19% of the county’s adult population. Drinking excessively can lead to quite devastating side effects, such as an irregular heartbeat, severe dehydration, lung infection, and sometimes it can even lead to death. In fact, alcohol-impaired driving caused one fatality in Bland County between 2014 and 2018, which accounts for 25% of the driving deaths that occurred in those years, according to County Health Rankings. This is the kind of statistic that can be lowered with precautions being taken. Those who go out and decide to drink should always plan ahead and have an option to get home safely because otherwise, they are not only endangering their own life, but also the life of those who will find themselves in their path. Additionally, treatment can be provided to those who wish to overcome their addiction issues. For the people who are not satisfied with a traditional program, there is an alternative treatment that is also available. It offers basic services, but it will also use other activities to help the person find alternate solutions to dealing with their life struggles. The activities that will be incorporated in the program may include art therapy, equine therapy, meditation, etc., and they can be extremely beneficial right now in their recovery process, but also in the future to help them stick to their sobriety.
