Both My Friend and I Used Drugs Recreationally, but They Became Addicted, Why?

The recreational use of drugs is a common problem that many people struggle with and using drugs recreationally can and will lead to addiction. When teens are growing up, they will be exposed to drugs and alcohol at one point in his or her life. Many teens will make a choice to continue using drugs more often, rather than the recreational use of these mind alerting substances. There are many reasons why someone would become addicted to drugs, and things like environment, personal problems, stress, work related issues, family problems, and personal injury can all drive a person to abuse drugs and alcohol.

Recreational drug use is dangerous, and why someone would become addicted, would be because of the above reasons. It happens all too often where friends experiment with drugs and alcohol and one of them discovers it provides them with the escape they are searching for. In the long-run, it comes down to a personal choice for whether the drug use is continued and more frequently. Drug and alcohol addiction is dangerous and can be treated with the right help. Even the recreational use of drugs can be effectively treated with the right rehab and counseling. It is important for friends to be aware and look out for one another, especially if they both make a choice to experiment with drugs and alcohol.
