Bradford County is a county that can be found in the state of Pennsylvania. The county seat is Towanda. Bradford County is home to an estimated population of around 60,000 people as of 2019 according to the United States Census Bureau, making it one of the smaller counties in the state. But even being sparsely populated has not been enough to protect Bradford County and many other areas across the state from the nation’s drug epidemic. In 2019 there were 35.1 drug deaths for every 100,000 residents of the state according to a report from America’s Health Rankings. This was one of the highest rates in the nation for any state during that time period, showing just how badly people in the area need help from drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detox services. Every single drug death was a life that could have potentially been saved if they had gotten help before it was too late. But many people accidentally overdose just after starting to use drugs. This is becoming more and more common as drugs become stronger and more and more people use drugs each year. This is exactly why you can no longer trust dated advice telling you to do things like wait until they re ready for help. This could easily lead to tragedy. Intervene or do whatever is necessary to get them into treatment before its too late.
