Cambria County is a county that can be found in the state of Pennsylvania. The county seat is Ebensburg. Cambria County is home to an estimated population of around 130,000 people as of 20119 according to the United States Census Bureau. In 2019 there were 35.1 drug deaths for every 100,000 residents of the state according to a report from America’s Health Rankings. This was one of the highest rates in the nation for that time period and shows that there were likely at least 35 or more drug deaths in Cambria County that year. This is a terrible rate which makes clear just how many people are being failed when it comes to basic lifesaving services in the form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detox services. Every single drug death was a life that could have been saved if the person had gotten help before it was too late. So many people do not ever go to treatment and simply resin to using drugs. In early addiction, the person does not even think that they have a problem yet, but they still can easily overdose. Drugs have become very strong and when a person first begins using drugs their tolerance is very low, making overdose much more likely. This is why you should intervene if needed to save a life.
