College and University Students Addiction Services in Indiana

Indiana University is the largest university in the state and has the third largest alumni base in the country. There are over 20 public colleges and around 40 nonprofit private universities within the state. When students start to struggle with drug or alcohol addiction, they often fear to reach out for help. This fear comes from possibly being kicked out of school. However, there are laws in place protecting people who are struggling with medical problems, such as addiction. You can take time off school, go to treatment, and return when you finish drug rehab. Many colleges operate collegiate recovery programs to help students in recovery. Throughout Indiana are inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. College campuses often provide college counseling services. If you choose not to reach out for help, the addiction becomes worse, and there could be serious consequences. Treatment is the only way to beat any type of drug or alcohol problem.
