Connecticut Partial Hospitalization Programs for Alcohol and Drug Addiction

Partial hospitalization programs are often referred to as day programs and provide short-term higher levels of care for persons struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. These facilities are always outpatient, and only treat patients for three to five days, but provide daily medical monitoring. Partial hospitalization programs are also step-down programs for an addict who has already completed an inpatient drug rehab center. The length of stay at a partial hospitalization program will depend on the severity of the addiction and other health problems. Typically, partial hospitalization programs in Connecticut are covered by health insurance or the cost will depend on the length of stay. Drug addiction is a dangerous problem, especially with long-term addictions. Partial hospitalization services offer continued support once an addict has completed another form of treatment. These services are available within the state of Connecticut and can provide a higher level of care than a standard outpatient program.
