Dexedrine & Ritalin Detoxification and Rehabilitation Centers in North Dakota

For family and friends who believe a loved one is addicted to prescription drugs or abusing stimulant drugs such as Dexedrine; it can be difficult to notice the signs and symptoms. For example, Dexedrine abuse may cause rapid and irregular heartbeat, chest pain, difficulty breathing, aggression and hostility, hallucinations, paranoia, and even seizures. Dexedrine is a central nervous system stimulant and often prescribed to treat ADHD and even narcolepsy. However, the recreational abuse of these drugs is very common throughout the United States. Amphetamine abuse can lead to other serious health problems and addiction. When addicts abuse these drugs, they will tend to do so with other drugs and alcohol to intensify the effects. Drug addiction and abuse treatment programs within the state of North Dakota can help addicts and their families who are struggling with addiction and substance abuse issues. Particular methods of treatment are provided through inpatient and outpatient treatment programs within the state. When Ritalin is prescribed it is given in pill form, and the amount of methylphenidate in each pill will be different. Dosages are typically 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg, which can make the drug appealing for recreational use and abuse. The drug when taken as a medication will create effects similar to amphetamines. When the drug is abused, these effects are intensified and also very much like cocaine. This is why Ritalin can be crushed and snorted because it is a cheaper high than cocaine. Addicts who abuse Ritalin are often doing so with other drugs such as other stimulants and alcohol. Drug rehabilitation is important with prescription drugs such as Ritalin because the abuse of this drug can lead to the abuse of other types of stimulants. Within the state of North Dakota are different types of programs and services, many of which can help prescription drug addicts through their problems. Addicts and their families should take the time necessary to locate a program suitable for them and get the help they need quickly.
