Tackling the Drug and Alcohol Addiction Problem with Rehabilitation

Substance abuse is best dealt with from a standpoint of rehabilitation. Drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation centers offer the best of the best when it comes to addressing the problem on a very intimate and personal level. Such rehab centers, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, that do this are general speaking inpatient, residential ones. Three such programs in Nebraska are:

  • The Northeast Panhandle Substance Abuse Center is Gordon, Nebraska’s best facility for addressing intensive addiction to drugs and alcohol.
  • Lincoln, Nebraska is represented by the Touchstone Short Term Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program, which is inpatient but only offers services for about three to four weeks for any one, individual client.
  • The NOVA Treatment Community Residential in Omaha, Nebraska helps people quite a bit in terms of detoxification and rehabilitation both.

(The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration,, is in charge of gathering all of the data on all of the nation’s addiction treatment centers.)
