Drug Rehab Centers in Stanislaus County, California

Stanislaus County is located in the Central Valley of the state and is made up of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county is located east of the San Francisco Bay Area, and many residents who commute to the eastern part of the Bay Area live in the county. Heroin addiction in the county has been an ongoing problem, and police have been focussing on the devastating issue. The opioid problem also impacted the county, and in 2018 there were 36 deaths because of opioid overdose, which was a rate of 6.1 per 100,000 population. During that same year, there were 203 emergency department visits because of opioids and 98 hospitalizations related to opioids. Prescribing doctors in Stanislaus County wrote 461,241 opioid prescriptions.

Throughout the state of California are many different types of substance abuse treatment programs. Almost half of the residents in California attending drug rehab centers were going to facilities tailored to co-occurring disorders. Within the state, approximately 37% of the programs are set-up for criminal justice clients, and 27% can treat pregnant women. About 24% of the treatment facilities in California are tailored to members of the LGBTQ community, and 23% can manage people with HIV/AIDS. Roughly 20% of the drug rehab centers in the state are available for veterans, and close to 10% are treatment centers for DUI offenders.
