Abstinent Living at the Turning Point at Washington, Inc – Women With Children

Abstinent Living at the Turning Point at Washington has prepared specialized recovery programs for women addicts. They offer treatment and counselling to women in a gender-specific environment; they are also given many specialized recovery services. The women with children program offer residential recovery services to women with children; it has a duration of six months. This program can also offer treatment to pregnant women. Each client will be given a fully furnished apartment, where they receive intensive care for substance abuse and dependency disorders. Clients are given individual and group therapy for their addiction and dependency disorder. They are also given parenting sessions to help them become proper parents who can look after their children in a healthy manner. Many educational sessions are also given to the clients, the topics of this session range from interpersonal relationships, social behavior, budgeting, life skills sessions, boundaries, self-esteem, and many other educational groups. Clients are also offered a relapse prevention service, which teaches them healthier coping skills. They are also expected to attend 12-step groups for support after they have completed their residential recovery. The 12 step programs include AA and NA meetings, which are held on a weekly basis.
