Adult & Teen Challenge Louisiana Ruston Men’s Induction Center is a short-term residential addiction treatment program for men in Ruston, Louisiana. The center is one of several campuses in the Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge network, which has provided faith-based recovery services across the state since its founding in 1987. Licensed as an inpatient residential treatment program through the Louisiana Department of Health and accredited by Adult & Teen Challenge USA, the Ruston campus operates as a men’s short-term facility.
Residential Stabilization and Early Recovery
The Ruston campus provides men aged eighteen and older with a residential stay of up to 30 days built around achieving sobriety and gaining initial stability in recovery from substance use and other life-controlling issues. The program draws on a range of clinical services, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy, individual counseling, substance use evaluations, crisis intervention, and drug and alcohol testing. Men admitted to the short-term track may enter with prescribed medications, and medically supported detox services are offered when clinically indicated. The program’s stated approach is to work toward a medication-free outcome when that is feasible for the individual.
Pathway to Extended Treatment
For men who determine during their initial stay that longer-term support would strengthen their recovery, the program provides a direct transition into the organization’s 12-month residential track at one of its long-term campuses elsewhere in Louisiana. That extended program broadens the scope of care to include biblical study, academic and vocational development, mentoring, and hands-on work experience. Men whose treatment needs are met within the 30-day window complete the program at the Ruston campus without continuing to the long-term phase.
