Alaska Family Services – Behavioral Health Treatment Center

Established in 1979, Alaska Family Services offers help to women and children in crisis and does operate as a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter. There are numerous services provided in the center for women and children, which does include family counseling, parenting workshops, and residential programs for youth at risk.
Wasilla, Alaska has a friend in Alaska Family Services. This program is an outpatient center, so it does not offer inpatient rehabilitation, nor does it offer detoxification. Alaska Family Services in Wasilla is much more of an outpatient counseling center. The facility specializes in helping young adults, adolescents, and teens who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. The center also is very easy to get into and afford, as they are willing to treat anyone of any addiction no matter their age, sex, addiction, or income background. The center offers many resources as far as payment goes such as accepting most forms of insurance as well as offering a sliding scale fee system for clients that is based off of the client’s income.
