Teen Challenge offers gender-specific treatment at the Elizabeth City Center; this center is designed to help women with addiction and drug dependency issues. It uses faith-based counselling that is based on the 12-step approach. They employ this counselling strategy during residential treatment, which allows the clients to recover by following a structured lifestyle. The counselling and the environment is designed to improve the lifestyle of the clients through holistic methods that allow them to consider healthier lifestyles habitually. Their substance abuse residential treatment is also available to local Criminal Justice Clients of the community.
