The Aletheia House is a community-based program, which offers substance abuse and treatment for addicts coming from low-income families. It is considered one of Alabama’s largest treatment providers, along with HIV prevention, employment services, and affordable housing. The program was founded by a group of volunteers in the early 1970s, and initially was addressing the needs of teens who were living on the street.
