Ascend Treatment and Wellness Center

Updated on: 12 February 2026

About this center

Ascend Treatment & Wellness Center is a licensed outpatient substance use treatment and counseling provider in Rockaway Township, NJ that helps adults (and teens in some programs) address alcohol and drug use concerns through structured therapeutic engagement rather than overnight residential placement. It’s part of a broader outpatient behavioral health practice offering individual, group and family-focused care tailored to each person’s goals and life circumstances.

Structured Outpatient Addiction Support and Counseling

At this New Jersey location, the substance abuse program centers on individual and group therapy, outpatient counseling, psychoeducation and relapse-prevention planning, aimed at strengthening coping skills, behavioral insight and healthier routines. Care is delivered through evidence-informed approaches that include collaborative planning with clinicians who work closely with clients to identify needs and tailor support.

Support Across a Range of Substance Use Patterns

Ascend’s services address many forms of substance misuse, including alcoholism, opiate and fentanyl addiction, stimulant and cocaine misuse, marijuana concerns, and prescription drug dependence. The center also incorporates management of co-occurring mental health challenges where appropriate. These outpatient pathways help people build resilience and decision-making skills while continuing with work, school and family life.

Teen and Young Adult Assistance Within a Broader Framework

In addition to adult services, the center offers focused outpatient support for teens and young adults facing substance use patterns (such as marijuana experimentation) and works with families to support recovery goals in younger populations. Clinicians perform comprehensive assessments, then guide clients into suitable outpatient care plans.

Community-Flexible Care With Assessment and Ongoing Support

Services begin with thorough evaluation by clinicians who help determine the right mix of counseling, education and support. The outpatient model allows clients to engage in recovery work, including substance use therapy and family involvement, while remaining engaged in daily life. Ascend also offers teletherapy options and accepts many major insurance plans for accessibility.
