Atlanta Mission – The Potters House

Atlanta Mission is a faith-based organization with many substance abuse recovery centers in Georgia. The Potters House is one its recovery facilities for men. It acts as a halfway house and offers aftercare for recovering addicts. It also serves as a long-term residential facility for recovering clients, whereas, during their stay, they are treated for their addiction through counseling and therapy sessions. Its programs are available to its community at very low rates so people of all stature can recover under its wings.nDrug and alcohol addiction has left a very concerning mark on the Atlanta area. This is a Christian-based treatment program.nAtlanta Mission’s The Potter’s House offers a long-term residential discipleship program to more than 180 chemically addicted men. Located on a 550 acre farm near Athens, Georgia, The Potter’s House offers therapeutic and vocational programming, providing services that include GED training, computer literacy, and job training. After completing a very successful New Start Capital Campaign last year, Atlanta Mission dedicated two new state-of-the-art facilities at The Potter’s House to serve the needs of Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. The New Start dormitory increased the transitional housing capacity to 64 beds and features a computer lab for GED training, a community lounge, and energy efficient construction. The Client Life Center created a much-needed space for client education and community engagement. The barn-like structure houses classrooms, program offices, and a multipurpose space that acts as gym, chapel and gathering space.nThe Atlanta Mission The Potters House offers halfway housing and aftercare both. It’s essentially a recognized and affluent, successful, engaging, recovery-minded, both one on one therapy based and group counseling based approach to drug and alcohol addiction and dependence treatment, rehabilitation, detoxification, recovery, and permanent sobriety. The Atlanta Mission The Potters House offers sober living and residential, long term care. The Atlanta Mission The Potters House can be paid for with self pay, or it can be funded with private health insurance from Coventry Insurance PPO Unlimited, The Community Health Choice Association, GEHA Health Plans and Policies Incorporated, APS Health Care Insurance Options, Aetna Health Care, Cigna Health Care, Cooks Children’s and Adult’s Health Plan and First Care Approach, The PPO Managed Health Network Incorporated, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Coverage Opportunities.
