The Hoover Treatment Center is a nationally accredited, faith-based substance abuse treatment program in Little Rock, Arkansas, operated by Better Community Development, Inc. (BCD). Better Community Development, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that operates the Hoover Treatment Center alongside other community development programs in Little Rock, including supportive housing, health and wellness, and workforce development. The Hoover Treatment Center is described as a unique, community-based support system with a cultural perspective, designed to serve participants and their families in a holistic, drug-free environment. The inpatient program is a 30-day residential stay with at least six hours of daily structured treatment services, including individual, family, group, and peer counseling. Programming also includes health and wellness guidance, HIV and hepatitis screenings, physical activity, transitional living support, career readiness training, and family reunification services. The center accepts Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield Arkansas, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Aetna, as well as self-pay.
Intensive Outpatient and Aftercare Services
Beyond inpatient care, the Hoover Treatment Center offers an 8-week intensive outpatient program with one-on-one counseling, family therapy, and group processing, with both day and evening class options for scheduling flexibility. Aftercare is provided through the Hoover Treatment Alumni network, which connects graduates with relapse prevention resources and ongoing recovery support. The center is led by Executive Director Rev. Dr. William H. Robinson, Jr., with Director of Programs Deborah Bell overseeing program operations.
