Bergen County Department of Health Services offers a spectrum of substance abuse treatment programs, each of which is designed to help at varied levels of addiction. They offer addiction treatment in accordance with the funds and the assessment of the client’s addiction issues. They provide outpatient addiction counseling through their general outpatient and intensive outpatient-counseling program. Detoxification services are also available for clients that need support during their withdrawal phase. Clients that have been diagnosed with severe addiction issues are also offered short-term residential treatment. Halfway housing is also given to clients that successfully complete their residential recovery session.
