Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse BVCASA

Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse provides a large array of recovery and treatment services that address substance abuse and dependency disorder through their multi-disciplinary treatment module. They offer alcohol and substance abuse screening, DWI counselling programs, youth outpatient program, adult outpatient programs, prevention resources, transition recovery services, drug-free communities and coalition program, school-based prevention service, and education service. The screening uses the standardized model given by Texas Department of State Health Services; it determines the level of treatment that should be given to that particular client. The adult outpatient program is offered for eight weeks, and the counselling session is held four days a week for three hours. This program is specialized to provide gender-specific treatment to women as Specialized Females (TRF) program. It offers to teach services such as recovery skills, drug education, relapse prevention, cognitive intervention, development and implementing personal goals, and 12-step wisdom.
