Accreditations

These accreditations/certifications help indicate whether a treatment center meets recognized standards for quality, safety, and ethical practices. While no single credential guarantees outcomes, together they provide useful context when evaluating a provider.

Joint Commission Accredited

About this center

Canyon Crossing Recovery is a Joint Commission-accredited women’s addiction treatment center in Prescott, Arizona, serving women navigating substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and trauma through a women-only environment built specifically around their recovery needs. The program combines trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapy, 12-Step immersion, and adventure-based experiential programming across residential, outpatient, long-term, and family tracks.

Four Program Tracks Tailored to Women’s Recovery

Canyon Crossing offers four core program tracks, each shaped around the realities and needs of women in recovery. The Residential program immerses clients in evidence-based therapy while building strong relational bonds in shared residences, equipping them with a robust plan for long-term sobriety. The Non-residential outpatient program focuses on real-world application of recovery tools, helping women establish a firm footing in sobriety while navigating the demands of daily life. The Long Term program gives women the time and space to thoroughly address underlying issues, build healthier habits, and master essential life skills. The Family program brings loved ones into a collaborative healing process, equipping both the client and her family with the strategies needed for sustained recovery.

Trauma-Informed Care for the Conditions That Often Travel with Addiction

Canyon Crossing is built around the recognition that addiction in women rarely shows up alone. The clinical team treats drug addiction, alcoholism, and heroin addiction alongside the mental health conditions that often co-occur such as anxiety, depression, dual diagnosis, borderline personality disorder, self-harm, eating disorders, and trauma/PTSD. Specialized offerings include advanced clinical care with evidence-based therapies, 12-Step immersion, spiritual retreats, and structured relapse prevention work. The center is also Tricare-approved, providing dedicated treatment pathways for military service members and military families.

Nature, Adventure, and Experiential Healing in the Arizona Landscape

Canyon Crossing integrates nature and adventure-based therapy into the recovery process, taking advantage of the surrounding Arizona terrain. Programming includes equine therapy, experiential outings, wilderness therapy, and a ropes course, all designed to help women build confidence, process emotions, and develop trust in themselves and others through embodied experience. Alongside the experiential work, the center provides structured education and training in boundaries and healthy relationships, behavior change, communication skills, and life skills: practical foundations that support recovery long after the program ends.

A Women-Only Pathway to Long-Term Recovery

For women whose substance use, mental health, or trauma has reached a point where structured treatment is needed, Canyon Crossing Recovery offers a focused, women-centered alternative to mixed-gender programs. The combination of trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapy, multiple program tracks, family involvement, and the experiential opportunities of the Prescott landscape gives women the conditions to address what’s brought them to treatment and rebuild what comes after. With Joint Commission accreditation and a clear focus on the lifelong dimensions of recovery, Canyon Crossing provides a structured, professional pathway forward for women ready to reclaim their lives.
