Who Answers?

Calls to the website’s main helpline are answered by Wert Inc., a call center that specializes in helping individuals and families across the United States find resources for substance use disorder.

Addicted.org and Wert Inc. do not own any rehab or addiction services. This means our helpline can provide completely independent and unbiased advice to help you find the rehab service most suitable for you or your loved one.

Please note that if you are calling from California, your call will be answered by Alli Intervention, an intervention service based in California. However, when calling the helpline, you are under no obligation to use any of their services.

Our helpline comes at no cost to the caller and offers complete confidentiality.

CARITAS – The Healing Place for Women

Updated on: 30 January 2026

About this center

The Healing Place for Women is a long-term, peer-driven residential recovery program in Richmond operated by CARITAS, designed for adult women whose substance use has begun to destabilize everyday life: housing, relationships, parenting roles, employment, and emotional wellbeing. This is a live-in environment where recovery is practiced through daily routine and shared responsibility, not managed through occasional appointments.

A Residential Setting When Stability Has Slipped

Women typically arrive here when repeated efforts to regain control haven’t held and life feels fragmented or unsafe. Many are navigating disrupted housing, fractured relationships, or the weight of prolonged stress and trauma. The Healing Place offers a consistent residential setting where women can step out of crisis and into predictable structure, creating space to regain footing and focus on recovery.

Recovery Lived Through Community and Mutual Support

Daily life is shaped by an abstinence-based, peer-supported model grounded in the Recovery Dynamics curriculum. Women move through recovery together, holding one another accountable and learning through shared experience. Rather than a clinically intensive atmosphere, the program emphasizes showing up, participating fully, and building trust within a supportive community of peers.

Rebuilding Confidence, Direction, and Independence

As women progress, recovery work expands beyond sobriety into practical rebuilding. Many participants move into phases that focus on workforce readiness, routine, and responsibility, helping them reconnect with purpose and self-trust. This gradual progression supports sustainable change rather than abrupt transitions back into independence.

A Place for Women Ready to Reclaim Stability

The Healing Place for Women is often used by women who need time, structure, and peer connection to rebuild their lives after substance use has overtaken daily functioning. It fits those who are ready for a long-term residential environment where recovery is woven into everyday living, offering space to heal, regain confidence, and move forward with steadiness and support.
