CREDENTIALS: LCSW, RSM

Catholic Charities was established in 1966; its main purpose was to help the helpless and give the vulnerable individuals a haven. They promote the concepts of sharing, compassion, excellence, respect, integrity, and stewardship. Auburn, Maine has a friend in the Catholic Charities Maine Saint Francis Halfway House.  This rehab center creates safety and sobriety in the hearts and minds of those who go there for addiction treatment.  This center is primarily a halfway housing program and is dedicated to helping people maintain their abstinence for life.

Our professionally trained staff and dedicated volunteers help individuals from birth through old age overcome obstacles in their lives that threaten their self-sufficiency. Last year, we provided services to over 49,000 individuals in Maine and touched the lives of countless others through our advocacy and convening efforts. While some of the people we serve are Catholic, many are not. Some can afford to pay for the services they receive, but most cannot. Our agency attempts to help all who request assistance either through direct assistance or appropriate referral.
