Charter Recovery

About this center

Charter Recovery is an outpatient substance use counseling and DUI education provider in Reno, Nevada. The practice works with people who refer themselves as well as those sent by the courts, parole, or probation, offering evaluations, group and individual counseling, DUI school, and anger management classes. Services are provided by appointment only.

Outpatient Counseling and Evaluations

Charter Recovery offers substance use evaluations to help determine whether a person needs treatment and, if so, at what level. Clients who move into treatment take part in outpatient alcohol and drug counseling through a mix of group and individual sessions, with program lengths matched to their needs or court requirements. Options range from a 13-week program to a 26-week program and a full year of counseling. The practice also serves people involved in specialty court, including those completing longer-term felony DUI programs that can last several years.

DUI School and Court Support

For people facing DUI charges, Charter Recovery teaches a DMV-approved Level I DUI school. Clients involved with the legal system can arrange for weekly or monthly progress reports to be sent to their attorney, the court, or their parole or probation officer, helping them document their participation. The practice also runs anger management classes, which are often required alongside substance use treatment in court cases.
