Cherokee County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse offers several recovery programs to men, women, and DUI offenders that need treatment for their addiction issues. They offer the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program for the DUI offenders that need a full set of services such as education, assessment, intervention, and treatment to recover. They offer intensive outpatient programs for the clients to provide focused and individual therapy sessions. This program offers nine hours of counselling over the week of three days. The counselling offered to the clients is provided through an on-site session that is available for one-on-one sessions and group sessions. They also offer education and intervention services to the clients, so they are well-informed and know the risk of addiction and dependency disorders. They also offer gender-specific recovery groups that provide substance abuse counselling and other services. The women’s treatment program offers counselling and assessment to women that have been affected by drug abuse or have a substance abuse disorders; this service includes several group sessions such as parenting skills, codependency, and addiction.
