Counseling Associates is a state-licensed outpatient substance abuse treatment and DUI services agency in Joliet, Illinois, providing services since 1994. Minimal risk requires 10 hours of DUI risk education classes covering the effects of alcohol and drugs on cognition and physiology and relapse prevention strategies. Moderate risk adds 12 hours of early intervention. Significant risk includes risk education, 20 hours of substance abuse treatment, and continuing care. High risk requires 75 hours of substance abuse treatment followed by continuing care. The center also conducts Secretary of State evaluations supporting license reinstatement, non-DUI drug and alcohol evaluations for court, probation, parole, and DCFS mandates, and SAP/DOT evaluations in compliance with 49 CFR Part 40 guidelines.
Treatment, Continuing Care, and Counseling
Substance abuse treatment programs address moderate through high-risk classifications and are available virtually. Continuing care services help maintain positive behavioral changes following treatment completion. The center also offers individual substance abuse counseling. Classes and treatment are available on weekdays and weekends.
