About this center

DUI Counseling & Evaluation Services, Inc. is a licensed outpatient substance abuse treatment provider in Chicago, Illinois, licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) and court approved. The center has been operating in DUI and substance abuse programming since 2010 and specializes in license reinstatement cases. Services are available in English and Spanish, with in-person and Zoom appointments offered at the Chicago location. Risk-Based Treatment and Counseling

Following a DUI evaluation, clients are classified into one of four risk levels with corresponding programming. Level I minimal risk requires 10 hours of DUI risk education. Level II moderate risk adds 12 hours of early intervention counseling. Level II significant risk includes risk education, 20 hours of outpatient treatment, and aftercare. Level III high risk involves 75 hours of treatment followed by aftercare. Programming is delivered through educational groups addressing specific treatment topics and counseling groups where clients work through treatment-related concerns together. Aftercare for significant and high risk clients consists of monthly sessions for six or twelve months. The center also provides substance abuse treatment and counseling for non-DUI cases.

Evaluations and License Reinstatement

The center conducts alcohol and drug evaluations for courts, employers, and academic institutions to determine the need for and appropriate level of treatment, as well as DUI evaluations using the Alcohol/Drug Uniform Report format for individuals arrested in Illinois and other states. License reinstatement services include Secretary of State evaluations for reinstatement of driving privileges, temporary restricted driving permits, and formal hearing support.
