Ebony House, Inc. (EHI) provides behavioral health services designed to aid children and young adults to achieve success in school, in work, to live with their families, avoid delinquency, and become stable and productive adults.

Our service is tailored to the youth and family, respecting their cultural heritage in accordance with best practices.  Services occur in the most appropriate setting and in a prompt and timely manner.  Our service technique includes the following:  * Collaboration with youth and family in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of services provided.  Parents and children are encouraged to participate in the development of treatment goals, and the services necessary to meet those goals.

 * Improve functional outcomes and stabilize the consumer’s condition, while minimizing safety risks.  Our treatment plans strategize and use all appropriate behavioral health services available to address potential crisis situations, eliminate safety risks to the child, minimize placement disruptions, and provide transition assistance, where needed.  Moreover, staff strives to provide support training for parents in meeting the child’s needs, and for the child in development self-management skills.  * Utilizing multi-system participation, where multi-agency involvement is essential to insure that client-centered teams coordinate the best possible service for both youth and family.  This includes collaboration in developing plans of treatment, assessments, monitoring, and adjustments, as needed.  Additionally, natural support systems are identified from the child and parent’s own network and utilized; including friends, neighbors, community organizations, and religious organizations.     * Case management implementation to ensure comprehensive behavioral health services, including transportation issues, timeliness of service provision, and safety of treatment setting, i.e. home, office, other setting conducive to success of treatment.
