EOSIS Beauterre is a co-ed residential addiction treatment center in Owatonna, Minnesota, part of the EOSIS network and set on an established campus about an hour south of the Twin Cities. It serves adults dealing with alcohol or drug addiction, including those with co-occurring mental health concerns, offering social detoxification and residential treatment through comprehensive, individualized plans. Its licensed co-occurring model allows medical, mental health, and substance use needs to be addressed together.
Residential Treatment on an Established Campus
The residential program provides structured, whole-person care for men and women, typically lasting four to six weeks and combining individual addiction counseling and medical care with support for any co-occurring mental health needs. When appropriate, care starts with social detoxification, a non-medical, supervised way to move through withdrawal before entering the residential program. Treatment plans are built around each person and draw on multiple therapeutic approaches rather than a single method. The campus setting adds to the experience, with walking trails, a driving range, and a small fitness area that give residents healthy outlets during their stay, and for those stepping down from residential care or who do not require it, a related intensive outpatient program offers a path to continue recovery.
A Range of Therapeutic Approaches
Beyond individual sessions, Beauterre offers a wide variety of group and educational therapy, including relapse prevention, mindfulness, trauma processing, communication and coping skills, life skills, recreational therapy, and family education. This breadth lets the program tailor the mix of services to each resident’s goals and circumstances. Care is delivered by a team of licensed clinicians, medical staff, and certified peer recovery specialists who support residents throughout the process.
