Ernest E Kennedy Center uses an intensive method of therapy and several approaches of treatment to offer recovery programs for addiction and substance abuse treatment. They offer these services through outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. They use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help the clients have goal-oriented habits that can contribute with the development of better behaviors. They also use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help the clients with their behavior, being a client-centered program, it offers to help the client resolve and explore their issues related to their identity. They also let the client develop responsibility by giving them the tools to make better life choices in an open setting. Biological, Psychological, Social, Spiritual, and Experiential (BPSSEM) therapy is also used during the counselling to help the client learn new dynamics of behavior and physical health. They incorporate this therapy to support the client's health and healing brain, so they can learn better coping mechanism, which is provided by the center. They offer many recreational activities to the clients such as mindfulness practices, craving management techniques, and modified interpersonal group psychotherapy (MIGP).
