Georgetown County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission aims to build a solid foundation for individuals that need help and support for their substance abuse and dependency disorders. They offer a supportive role through their licensed recovery programs that follow the core values of high-quality service. It provides confidential and non-judgmental services through their substance abuse counselling sessions. They offer outpatient counselling to addict as a level one treatment. It offers two hours of counselling sessions for one to four times a week; the counselling sessions may include, individual counselling, family counselling, and group counselling sessions. They focus on helping the clients learn the differences between a habit and an addiction; they aim to help them cope with stress and relationships that may be causing addiction issues. They offer intensive outpatient services that provide three hours of counselling for three days a week; each counselling session focuses on dealing with the addiction and its co-dependent issues. They offer relapse prevention sessions as well that helps the client learn coping skills and technique for their addiction. DOT and SAP services are also available for clients that need a regulation protocol for their counselling sessions.
