GateHouse for Men offers a grand residential program for men that need treatment for substance abuse and addiction issues. They offer community-based treatment to the clients under their care; they also use a biopsychosocial system of counselling to get practical and successful recovery. Their program can be used as a residential treatment or a transition program; it can be modified to suit the needs of the client. The average length of the residential program can be four to six months. This program offers individualized programs for the residents; each client is given a monthly management session during which they can modify the course of treatment. Clients have to participate in the group, individual, and family meetings during this program for effective treatment of their addiction. They also have to attend a 12-step meeting on daily bases to become involved with the 12-step fellowship. Their life skill sessions involve a wide variety of topics such as health, wellness, healthy relationships, self-esteem, conflict resolution, parenting, budgeting, interpersonal communication, nutritional meal planning, and many others. The clients also have access to many recreational activities for enjoyment and leisure.
