Home of Grace’s Men’s Campus is a Christ-centered residential addiction recovery program for men in Vancleave, Mississippi. The organization has served people on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1965, and this campus sits on 30 acres of rolling hills along Bluff Creek, with room for up to 110 men.
A Faith-Based Residential Program
Home of Grace describes its mission as offering mental, physical, and spiritual restoration through Christ-centered programs and counseling. Men typically stay about three months, though the organization offers programs ranging from 30 days up to a year. Treatment begins with an orientation to the program’s approach to healing, then moves through progressive phases built around spiritual practice. Certified counselors meet with men individually to identify the destructive thinking patterns and emotional wounds behind their addiction, applying biblical principles and helping each man build a plan for life after the program. Group work takes several forms, including focus groups, phase groups, workshops, and cottage meetings, so men build community and accountability with others going through the same thing. Daily life includes quiet time, journaling, devotions, chapel services, and ministry events.
Classes, Work Therapy, and the Campus
Classroom instruction covers biblical life application, relapse prevention and recovery skills, emotional healing, healthy relationships, parenting, and life skills. Men without a high school diploma can work toward a GED, and computer instruction is available. Work therapy is part of the program too: men take on assignments in food service, maintenance, mechanics, and woodworking, which build practical skills and a steady routine. The campus is designed to let men step away from daily pressures and focus on recovery. It includes cottages, a dining hall, laundry, a media room, private counseling and group rooms, a chapel, classrooms, a volleyball court, and open green space, with security staff on site.
Cost and Admissions
Home of Grace describes its program as highly effective and affordable, and its fee covers room and board, counseling with certified counselors, classroom instruction, life skills workshops, and GED training. The organization doesn’t accept insurance, and it points out that its program fee is lower than most insurance deductibles. Scholarships are available, and admissions staff can talk through other options, including church sponsorship and online fundraising. Applications can be filled out online in about 15 to 20 minutes or downloaded as a form.
