Job Stress Solutions

Updated on: 19 August 2026

About this center

Job Stress Solutions is a private counseling practice specializing in the connection between addiction and work-related stress. It works with individuals whose substance use is tied to burnout, career pressures, or difficult workplace transitions, offering the consistent, personalized attention of a single-clinician practice. Prospective clients can begin with a free fifteen-minute telephone consultation, a low-pressure way to learn about the practice and decide whether it is the right fit.

Counseling for Addiction and Work-Related Stress

The practice centers on the link between addiction and the pressures of working life, offering counseling for people whose substance use is connected to stress, burnout, or difficult career transitions. Alongside addiction counseling, it provides career guidance and support for those coping with the emotional toll of job loss and other workplace hardships. The aim is to help clients address both the substance use and the underlying work-related strain that so often fuels it.

An Experienced, Evidence-Based Approach

Job Stress Solutions is led by a single, experienced therapist who has specialized in this work for about twenty years and holds credentials in addiction counseling and employee assistance, including the Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) designation. Care is grounded in evidence-based methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, both used to help clients work through the underlying issues driving their addiction and stress. Because the practice is run by one dedicated clinician, clients receive consistent, personalized attention throughout their time in care.
