About this center

Mainspring Recovery – Lynchburg High-Intensity Residential is a long-term residential addiction recovery program in Lynchburg, Virginia for adults whose substance use and related challenges have overwhelmed routines, relationships, work, housing stability or emotional wellbeing. This facility provides a structured, 24/7 live-in environment where recovery becomes part of daily life rather than a series of disconnected clinical appointments.

Life Inside a High-Intensity Residential Setting

People typically arrive here when attempts to cut back or quit on their own haven’t held and the consequences are now showing up in everyday roles. The program centers on intensive residential support, where residents live on site, follow structured schedules, and engage deeply in recovery work each day. Clinical staff, peers and counselors help create a stable environment to focus on healing, routines and rebuilding.

Recovery Through Practice, Therapy and Community

Daily life is organized around a blend of individual and group therapy, evidence-informed approaches, life skills development and peer support that help residents unpack patterns of use and rebuild habits that can carry into life beyond the program. There’s also space for physical activity, coping skills practice, and reflection alongside peers who are navigating similar challenges.

Planning Beyond the Residential Phase

While the residential stay provides concentrated support, staff help people begin planning next steps for ongoing recovery as they progress, whether that means transitioning to less intensive levels of care, aftercare resources, or community-based supports that connect recovery goals with real-world living.

For People Ready to Rebuild Everything That Matters

This setting tends to be used by adults whose substance use patterns have become deeply embedded in daily functioning and who need extended, structured residential support, a place where recovery is lived, practiced and supported day after day, before moving back into work, relationships and community life.
