Maniilaq Association – Maniilaq Counseling and Recovery Center

The counseling and drug rehabilitation services provided at the Maniilaq Center are culturally relevant offering mental health programs and substance abuse rehab services. The program can accept clients of all ages and backgrounds, and will also offer family counseling along with creating individual therapy plans for patients.
Kotzebue has its own drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation center, called the Maniilaq Counseling And Recovery Ctr. This rehab program offers only outpatient counseling and outpatient detoxification, but it provides an intensive outpatient program that is almost as intensive and involved as inpatient programs are. This center focuses on rehabilitation drug and alcohol through a more holistic and more spiritual approach, rather than through a chemical and medical approach. The Maniilaq Counseling And Recovery Ctr offers multiple different paths of counseling and group therapy, so addicts who come to this center for help are able to pick and choose the best time of program for them that will provide the most help and the most assistance to them.
