Lion’s Den MBTC is a Mission Teens center in Roscommon, Michigan, offering a free, faith-based residential program for adults seeking to overcome addiction and other life-controlling problems. Operated by Mission Teens, Inc., a non-denominational Christian discipleship ministry, it is one of the organization’s Mission Bible Training Centers located across the country. The center welcomes adults 18 and older and provides its program entirely free of charge, with an emphasis on spiritual renewal and freedom from addiction rooted in Scripture.
A Long-Term Discipleship Experience
The program at Lion’s Den is structured as a long-term journey that moves through four stages, each spanning about two to four months, with residents gradually taking on more responsibility as they grow. Daily life is built around Scripture, with participants devoting several hours a day to Bible study, adding up over the program to roughly the equivalent of a year of Bible school. Residents share in caring for the home and its routines, and as they reach the later stages they begin mentoring and encouraging those newer to the program. The goal throughout is deep, lasting change grounded in faith.
A Ministry Supported by Others
Because Mission Teens sustains its work through donations and partnerships, Lion’s Den asks nothing of residents for the program itself. It operates as a Christian discipleship ministry rather than a medical or clinical facility, centering everything it does on the Gospel and on helping each person build a genuine relationship with God as the basis for a new life. Those who finish the program can choose to go further, including through an extended staff-training track that prepares them to serve and support others on the same journey.
