New York Adult & Teen Challenge – Long Island Men’s Center is a 12-month residential addiction recovery and discipleship program for adult men whose alcohol, drug or other life-controlling behavior has undermined their daily functioning, relationships, work and wellbeing. It’s part of New York Adult & Teen Challenge’s network of Christian-centered long-term residential programs rooted in faith, community and structured living rather than short outpatient care.
A Year-Long Residential Pathway to Transformation
The Long Island Men’s Center operates as a live-in discipleship environment where residents commit to a 12-month structured recovery track grounded in biblical principles and peer accountability. Daily life includes faith-based recovery classes, group and individual engagement, spiritual development, life-skills learning and community responsibilities designed to help men break entrenched patterns of use and rebuild routines that support long-term wellbeing.
Structured Support and Community Living
Within the substance-free residential setting, participants live with peers and staff in a supportive community where work ethic, personal responsibility and positive character qualities are emphasized alongside recovery tools. The program’s structure helps residents develop coping strategies, build healthy habits and strengthen social and vocational capacities that matter beyond treatment.
Faith-Anchored Recovery With Ongoing Support
As part of the larger Adult & Teen Challenge network, the Long Island Men’s Center blends spiritual grounding with therapeutic engagement and mentoring, encouraging connection with local faith communities and support systems. Residents also receive support planning for aftercare, re-entry opportunities and ongoing recovery momentum after graduation.
