Peter Young Housing Industries Treatment – Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic

Updated on: 18 February 2026

About this center

Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic (EYOC) is an OASAS-approved outpatient substance use treatment program in Albany, New York, operated by Peter Young Housing Industries Treatment (PYHIT). The clinic provides structured, evidence-based outpatient care designed to help adults address alcohol or drug use and related mental health challenges while remaining engaged in daily life rather than entering residential care.

Outpatient Clinical Treatment Bridged With Recovery Skills

At the EYOC location on 134 Franklin Street, licensed clinicians deliver a range of outpatient services that support recovery work within day-to-day routines. Programming includes individual and group counseling, trauma-informed and cognitive-behavioral interventions, and state-approved DWI assessments and education that meet legal or court requirements.

Medication-Assisted and Co-Occurring Support

The clinic offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) under physician supervision to help manage cravings and support stabilization for opioid, alcohol and other substance dependencies. Integrated care also addresses co-occurring mental health conditions, helping clients work on both behavioral health and substance use within a coordinated framework.

Creative and Complementary Recovery Engagement

In addition to core counseling and clinical support, EYOC incorporates creative expression therapies, such as art therapy, into its recovery offerings, providing additional avenues for emotional processing and resilience. These services help clients strengthen coping strategies and sustain engagement in recovery while participating in their everyday roles.

Accessible Outpatient Support Within a Recovery Network

EYOC serves adults and young adults across the Capital Region, including people beginning outpatient care, continuing after inpatient treatment, or working toward long-term sobriety through structured community support. The clinic also facilitates connections to broader PYHIT resources, including housing, employment assistance and community referrals, to support continuity of care beyond outpatient sessions.

An Outpatient Path That Fits Real-World Life

By offering flexible outpatient care that can be delivered in person or via telehealth, Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic helps individuals embed recovery work into their everyday routines by strengthening coping skills, accountability and behavioral change without stepping away from work, family and community commitments.
