About this center

Positive Images Inc’s East Grand Boulevard location provides residential and outpatient addiction treatment for women in Detroit, Michigan. Operated by Positive Images Inc, an organization dedicated to supporting women and families, it offers a continuum of care that lets women move from a structured residential program into ongoing outpatient support. A defining feature of this location is its ability to serve women along with their children, allowing mothers to pursue recovery without being separated from their families.

Residential Treatment for Women

The residential program serves women, including those who bring their children with them, in a supportive setting where recovery and family can stay together. Care centers on intensive therapeutic counseling that combines individual therapy, group therapy, educational sessions, and family counseling, giving each woman both personal attention and the strength of a shared community. The program helps residents identify the risk factors that can lead to relapse, build stronger coping skills, and work steadily toward the goals set out in their individualized treatment plan.

Outpatient Care

For women continuing their recovery or entering treatment at a less intensive level, the location also offers outpatient care. Its intensive outpatient option involves group therapy and educational sessions held three or more days a week for at least four hours at a time, while traditional outpatient treatment provides more flexible scheduling to fit around work and family life. Both levels include individual counseling and group work along with a personalized recovery plan and relapse-prevention plan, giving women a clear path to follow as they build lasting stability.

A Family-Centered Approach

The program recognizes that addiction affects the entire family. The location weaves family counseling into its residential and outpatient care and offers a family support group where loved ones can find guidance and encouragement. By keeping mothers and children together and drawing families into the recovery process, Positive Images works to heal relationships and surround each woman with the support she needs to succeed.
